Midweek Minutes
January 6, 2018
Hello, Winners!
Like my bitmoji? Just a new digital thing (new to me) I learned how to do over vacation. That’s the closest I could get to my image.
It’s fun to learn new things and keep up on technology. Therefore, I wanted to take some time to show you some things you can do on the Weight Watchers’ website and on your phones. Technology is a great way to not only keep track of your goals, exercise, and, but it also challenges you, and it’s FUN!!!
Feel free to let us know the fun and helpful things you have discovered as you navigate the new FREESTYLE stuff online or on the app.
It was great to see so many folks at the makeup meeting we held on Tuesday. We are back to the regular Monday time this coming week, and it would be a GREAT time to join us if you have been absent for awhile!
The weather might even warm up for us on Monday! That would be nice because I am not a fan of winter, that’s for sure. Hope to see you then! --Zig

WW FreestyleTM couldn't have been better named: It lets you choose how YOUwant to succeed! Based on our successful SmartPoints® system, WW Freestyle has a range of delicious, satisfying foods you don't have to weigh, measure, or track. You still have a SmartPoints Budget: your daily SmartPoints plus your weekly SmartPoints that you can use when and how you like. Plus, you now have the option of "rolling over" up to 4 unused dailies into your weeklies. You can find more details in your Weekly and here.
The basics of WW
New to WW or just need a refresher? Our plan, based on SmartPoints® values, nudges you toward foods that are higher in protein, and lower in sugar and saturated fat, so you're eating in a way that promotes well-being, not just weight loss (though the SmartPoints plan does that really well!). Go to My Day to search for foods and their SmartPoints values, get meal ideas, create recipes, and more. Along with eating smart, we've made activity easier to fit into your everyday life. Check the Fitness tab in Living to get lots of easy, enjoyable ways to move. The more you move, the more FitPoints® you'll earn! You can log your activity in the Activity tab in My Day, or if you have an activity monitor like Fitbit, your FitPoints are automatically tracked.
Mindset matters
But as important as eating well and moving more is getting into the right mindset—one that will help you succeed at your goals, whether they're for weight loss or something else. We know that how you think determines how you feel—and that in turn determines what you do. Your mind is your most powerful weight-loss tool. Take a look at "Think Again" in your Weekly to see some ways you can shift your mindset for success. And when it comes to tapping the power of the mind, body, and soul, WW member Oprah—and the members she's met—have a lot to offer; check out all her inspiring videos!
We're all here for you!
Speaking of success, hearing how members just like you did it—slip-ups, obstacles, and lapses included—can be a powerful motivator. Check out our member Success Stories. You'll see that support is a huge part of what makes Weight Watchers work so well. You can tap into Connect, our vibrant social network online or on your app, anytime you need encouragement, been-there-ate-that empathy, or even a kick in the pants. Your fellow members are there for you! So if you haven't done so already, download our Mobile app (for iOS and for Android). If you want to check in with a pro, you're only a click away from 24/7 Expert Chat; it's in that little "Need Help?" window at the bottom right of your My Day page; or on the app, it's the button on the far right on the bottom.
Still have questions? Get answers in Your Plan. And get ready to eat, move, and think healthier, happier, better—freestyling it all the way!
What’s new on the APP?
You can find lots of meal ideas on the website or the app when you click on “My Day.”
BAD WEATHER: If there will be a meeting cancellation due to SNOW, etc., please stay tuned to NTV or KHAS-TV. I will call them to announce a meeting cancellation by 3 P.M. for Superior...and as early as I can (or the night before) for Hastings Saturday morning meetings. You can also log on to their websites where they have weather closings.
You can also call the Weight Watchers' 800 number to find out if we are having a meeting 1-800-651-6000.
Those of you who have signed up for the REMIND notices on your phone, I will send you a remind message. I will also try to post on FB

Apple cinnamon french toast sandwiches
Author: Drizzle
Serves: 4
4 SP Freestyle
- 8 slices of low calorie bread, such as Sara Lee, here in Canada I used the new PC low calorie bread.
- 2 apples, peeled and diced
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 4 eggs
- 1⅓ cup liquid egg whites (in the carton)
- 1 cup 1% milk
- Preheat oven to 350F, spray a casserole type dish with some cooking spray, I used a 9x13 but you can use whatever size will fit your bread.
- Mix your diced apples and 1 tsp cinnamon (leave other tsp aside) in a microwave safe bowl, cover tightly with some saran wrap and microwave for about 3 minutes, then stir well.
- Lay out 4 slices of your bread in your dish, top evenly with your apples, then place your other 4 slices of bread on top to make sandwiches.
- In a large bowl or a large measuring cup whisk your eggs and egg whites together, and in your milk and 1 tsp cinnamon, as an alternative you can sprinkle the cinnamon on the bread before pouring your egg mixture.
- Pour your egg mixture over your sandwiches cover them as well as you can, in my case since I used the bigger dish I did have mixture that went out into the ends of the dish, but it will all still be part of the serving.
- Bake in oven for approx 45 minutes, make sure eggs are cooked.
- Serve with some syrup, I used the ED.Smith no sugar added syrup, 2Tbsp is 1SP..
- Makes 4 servings, to make 6 just increase your ingredients by half (so 12 slices of bread, 3 apples, 3 tsp cinnamon, 6 eggs, 2 cups egg whites and 1.5 cups milk)
- *Optional to add sugar-free syrup
